Timeline of Erie child-on-child sex abuse cases

2001

February — Police arrest 16-year-old Christopher Deininger in the Arapahoe Ridge neighborhood on suspicion of using his baby-sitting business to molest as many as 10 toddlers.

Aug. 8 — Deininger sentenced to 12 years of adult probation.

2002

March 25 — Police arrest 15-year-old boy on suspicion of molesting or raping an 8-year-old boy in the Sunwest neighborhood. He has been charged. Case is pending.

Early April — Police arrest another 15-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy in Sunwest. Investigators say the three boys arrested in the neighborhood molested or raped six neighborhood children, or forced them to perform sexual acts. They have been charged. Cases are pending.

April 29 — Police arrest 11-year-old boy in the Orchard Glen neighborhood on suspicion of molesting or raping his 8-year-old sister and her 10-year-old girlfriend. He has been charged. Case is pending.

May 9 — Police arrest a 13-year-old Old Town boy on suspicion of molesting or raping three 12-year-old neighborhood girls. He has been charged. Case is pending.
